Great idea! Except that while he had been able to get a room at the original Cherokee casino’s hotel for Saturday night, the place gave me the complete brushoff. I had been wanting to check out the new place ever since it opened, then I got a note from rdw4potus suggesting that my wife and I join him and his fiancée for a weekend visit to both Harrah’s Cherokee Casino in the town of Cherokee and Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino about an hour down the road in Murphy. In truth, we visited 100% of the state’s casinos in less than 24 hours. Finally made it this weekend to the 2nd casino to open in North Carolina.
